We deny Nigerians with criminal records visas - South Africa

Consul-General, South African High Commission in Nigeria, Ambassador Mogethi Monaisa, on Monday said the commission sometimes deny issuance of its visas to Nigerians it discovered to be having criminal records.
“The commission does not just deny people visas, but it is either that those it sometimes deny issuance of visas are discovered to have criminal records or failed to meet its requirements. Nigerians should personally visit our websites for necessary information and requirements for applying for South African visas,” Monaisa told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos
He said Nigerians should facilitate their visa processing by submitting it to VFS Global.
“This is the company that the commission has authorised to facilitate the processing of visa applications submitted by Nigerians. The South Africa High Commission wants Nigerians applying for visas to know that it is only VFS Global that is recognised by it to facilitate visa applications on its behalf,” Monaisa said.
The consul-general advised Nigerians to desist from patronising unauthorised agents and intermediaries who would charge them huge fees and end up without achieving any results, adding that such act was illegal.
"They should know that VFS is our only agent to handle issues of visas for the commission,” he said.
Monaisa said the commission would deny such Nigerians the South African visas if it discovered it, noting that the applicants would also forfeit the fees paid to such illegal agents. He assured Nigerian applicants seeking to obtain the South African visas that the commission would grant their requests as long as they satisfied the requirements guiding the issuance.

Osinbajo’s Mother Has A Prophecy From God For Nigerians

The mother of Nigeria’s vice president-elect, Madam Bisi Osinbajo has prophesied about Nigeria.
According to her, God has a message of hope for Nigeria and Nigerians, which he gave to her.
She prophesied that Nigeria will be restored and there would be change in the world.
Osinbajo’s Mother Has A Prophecy From God For Nigerians
Speaking with The Guardian, the 82-year-old woman said: “This morning, as I was reading my Bible, God said I should say it that the world will know what is happening. He said Nigeria will be restored and the entire world will worship God. This is what God said I should tell Nigerians, that Nigeria will be restored by the power of God and the world will rejoice in Him.”
Osinbajo’s mother expressed joy over her son’s victory in the 2015 presidential election, saying she was grateful to God and would continue to serve him.
I feel happy and that is why I’m here today to thank God for what He has done for me and my entire family. I feel I should be praising God for Who He is. And I will continue to do this until I go out of this world,” she said.
Asked if she ever envisaged that her son was going to become the vice president of Nigeria, Mama Osinbajo replied: “What I know is that God knows everything.”
After a keenly contested presidential election, Gen Muhammadu Buhari and his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, emerged the winners, defeating the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Being a pastor of the Olive Tree House of Prayer for All Nations in Banana Island, a Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) parish, Osinbajo's church held a send-off for him on Sunday, April 5.

65-Year-Old Woman To Become World’s Oldest Mother Of Quadruplets

A 65-year-old woman who already has 13 children is pregnant again with quadruplets, Berlin, Germany.
Annegret Raunigk has decided to try to have another child because her youngest daughter, who is nine, wanted a little brother or sister. Her latest pregnancy was the result of artificial insemination using both donated sperm and eggs. She’s been trying to get pregnant over the last year and a half.
65-Year-Old Woman To Become World’s Oldest Mother Of Quadruplets
Ms Raunigk, who is in the 21st week of her pregnancy, said she was ‘shocked’ when an ultrasound scan showed she was carrying quadruplets. Her doctor initially mentioned the possibility of a ‘selective reduction’, where one or more fetuses is aborted in a multi-fetal pregnancy, but she declined.
65-Year-Old Woman To Become World’s Oldest Mother Of Quadruplets
Speaking about her 14th pregnancy the mother-to-be said:“Certainly that was a shock for me. After the doctor discovered there were four, I had to give it some thought to begin with. I’m not actually afraid. simply assume I’ll remain healthy and fit.
In matters of organisation I have enough experience, that’s not new for me. At first, I only wanted one child. Not all were planned. But then things happen. I’m not a planner but rather spontaneous. And children keep me young.”
65-Year-Old Woman To Become World’s Oldest Mother Of Quadruplets
The pregnancy had so far been without any major complications and that if everything went well, the babies were due in the summer and Ms Raunigk is set to become the oldest woman ever to give birth to quadruplets. Her 13 children – the oldest of whom is 44 – are by five different fathers, and Ms Raunigk has seven grandchildren.

Boko Haram Hiding And Recruiting Locals In Chad

Boko Haram insurgents chased out of Nigeria by the military are reportedly hiding on the remote islands in Lake Chad, terrorising locals and recruiting youths.
Mustapha, a farmer from the Chadian village located close to the Nigerian border, was quoted as saying by Vanguard:
“You see those islands, toward Nigeria? I used to go there to sell my harvest. But with Boko Haram it’s become too dangerous. We don’t move without a military escort.”
Despite a series of successful operations recently conducted by the joint military force of Nigeria and its neighbours, the terrorism in the region has not been totally crushed.
A Chadian security source, who pleaded for anonymity, disclosed:
“Boko Haram are under pressure and some of them are taking refuge in the middle of the lake, on islands with swampy forests that are difficult for the army to reach. Because they are hungry, they are attacking villagers for food.”
It has been obtained, that the attacks have become a common thing on the islands and mainland near Nigeria.
Al Hadji Mbodou Mai, the shopkeeper in Ngouboua, said that the insurgents “stole up to 500 steers” in the town which is now “secured” by the military.
The experts have, however, have that hit-and-run attacks by the sect could increase amid the added military pressure.
Meanwhile the Chadian authorities are concerned about Boko Haram purportedly recruiting locals to join the sect.
The authorities do not have a clear picture on the number of citizens who have taken up arms for Boko Haram and what is motivating those who have done so.
One of the sources revealed:
“We interviewed a boy who was hardly 16 and who has spent two weeks in a camp at the border… He was promised money, but especially Tramol. The authorities try to deal with the problem by talking with their parents and making them understand there be any trouble if the boys come back.”
It should be recalled that after the victory of Muhammadu Buhari at the March 28 presidential election in Nigeria, fresh expectations emerged that the new leader would tackle terrorism in the region. The president-elect vowed that fight with Boko Haram would be one of the main priorities of his administration.

This is why I always avoid these trailers. They have no control. One of them this morning fell on about three vehicles at Berger yard after Mile 2 on your way to Apapa before Berger Bridge where they sell cars. Unbelievable. Jonathan tells Nigerians to sacrifice for Buhari to succeed.

President Goodluck Jonathan has again emphasised that Nigerians must be ready to sacrifice in order to guarantee and great and prosperous nation.
Speaking at the Presidential Villa when he was paid the traditional Easter homage, President Jonathan said the in coming President, General Muhammadu Buhari can only succeed if Nigerians cooperate with him and are ready to make sacrifice for the nation.

                                                    Jonathan and Buhari
He said those countries who leaders  succeeded achieved such success because of the sacrifice of its people.
“As a people, as a government what I always believe ‎we should ask is what sacrifice are you making? Now it is not about supporting Jonathan or government, now Buhari is coming on board, it is not about supporting Burhari or his government but what sacrifice as an individual are you willing to make for government and for the nation?
“Nation building depends on the  sacrifice of individuals  and the patriotism of the citizens. These are two key elements, we must be ready to sacrifice for our nation.
“If you are a businessman and you say you are supporting government but you don’t pay tax, how do you expect that government to survive? That government will not survive.
“To me whenever I travel to different countries and see things work, those things didn’t fall down as manna people made sacrifice, therefore in Nigeria people must also be ready to make the required sacrifice. Whoever becomes president is immaterial ‎so long as the citizens are happy. Our children go to school, when we are sick they go to  good hospital and of course the economy blossoms” he said.

FAYOSE SENDS ROYAL FATHERS TO BEG TINUBU

                                        Ayo Fayose, Governor of ekiti
Embattled Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose has sent two first class traditional rulers to meet the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sources close to Irohinodua hinted that the traditional rulers who left Ekiti State this morning were mandated to meet with the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu who is expected to lead them to the former Lagos Governor whose political tactics continue to overwhelm the nation. The governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko was said to have met with Asiwaju few days before the election pleading with him to forget and forgive his misdeeds having seen the inevitable failure of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) at the March 28 election. But it was too late.
“We are on a peace mission. Governor Fayose has asked us to meet with Oba Akiolu who should open the door for us to see Asiwaju Tinubu. We know there are moves to impeach the governor, our role as traditional rulers is the look for a constructive way to end the crisis. If the Governor will be impeached, we do not want him to be disgraced again for the second time in office”, one of the the first class traditional ruler told our correspondent on Sunday.
The royal fathers are currently being lodged at a high-rate hotel in down town Lagos and are expected to meet with Oba of Lagos later today who will take them to Tinubu later in the night.
The royal father who pleaded anonymity said the governor ‘is not arrogant. He has been misunderstood. We agree he made some mistakes, but there should be forgiveness and then Ekiti can move forward.” When asked if their mission was to stop the impeachment, he said: “We want a peaceful resolution of the crisis. We want Asiwaju to intervene and give Fayose a save landing.”
Mr Fayose was on Friday served with impeachment notice by the 19 legitimate lawmakers who want him to respond to allegations of gross misconduct within the next seven days. Reliable sources told Irohinodua that President Goodluck Jonathan is not interested in Ekiti State any longer.
“The President has achieved a landmark when he congratulated the APC Presidential candidate, Mohammadu Buhari. He does not want to see any other thing that will cancel this goodwill,” a source at the Presidency told Irohinodua this evening. The source said that President Jonathan actually holds the view that Fayose’s recklessness and tactless political moves were partly responsible for his failure at the national level.

Fr Mbaka congratulates Gen Buhari, says his victory confirms him as a true prophet of God

Fr Mbaka congratulates Gen Buhari, says his victory confirms him as a true prophet of God

Outspoken Enugu based cleric, Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry Enugu has sent out a congratulatory message to Gen Buhari on his victory. In his congratulatory message signed by his spokesman, Maximus Ugwuoke, Fr Mbaka stated that Gen Buhari's victory has proven that he was indeed a true prophet of God. His congratulatory message below
"It is with vindictive joy and glory to God that the Adoration Ministry, the nation and indeed the world saw the fulfillment of Fr. Mbaka’s New Year prophesy of change with the miraculous, victorious emergence of Gen.Muhammadu Buhari at the March 28 polls as the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We wish to restate that before President Goodluck became the President of this country, Fr. Mbaka prophesied it in his message titled ‘Okolo.’
Today again, Buhari’s victory among other lessons it portends for Nigerians has once more confirmed to all and sundry that Fr. Mbaka is indeed a true Prophet of God and that his New Year message was indeed from the Oracle of the Holy Spirit as he declared.
The ministry with magnanimous heart holds no grudges against anyone who attacked it in one way or the other at the rage of the controversies surrounding Fr. Mbaka’s message and view their actions as being orchestrated by their misconstruing of Fr. Mbaka’s prophetic calling.
The Ministry joins the rest of Nigerians to congratulate Muhammadu Buhari as God’s chosen instrument of change to tackle the myriads of problems facing Nigeria and pray God to endow him with the wisdom to go about this onerous task.”
